Dr Troy Lim Joon completed his training at the Royal Victoria Eye and Ear Hospital in 1995, after which he undertook advanced fellowship training in Paediatric Opthalmology at the Royal Children’s Hospital Melbourne.
He is currently a senior specialist at the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear and Western Hospitals, as well as the Acting Head of Department of Ophthalmology at the Royal Children's Hospital.
His areas of expertise and special interest include cataract surgery, ocular motility and strabismus surgery, as well as paediatric ophthalmology.
Dr Lim Joon is involved in teaching ophthalmic registrars and optometrists. His other professional interest is in voluntary aid work having participated in cataract surgery for the disadvantaged in both Nepal and Vietnam for many years.
