Dr Rebecca Haward is an Ophthalmologist who undertook her specialist training in Melbourne at the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital. She completed her medical degree at Monash University, graduating with honours. Rebecca also undertook further specialty training in Medical Retina and Uveitis in the United Kingdom at Bristol Eye Hospital.
Dr Haward holds a position at the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital in their acute and surgical ophthalmology clinics and the Eye Emergency Department. She is actively involved in education and training, and the supervision of trainee ophthalmologists. She continues to work in her subspecialty areas with particular interest in care of macular degeneration, diabetic eye disease and vein occlusions. She is proficient in managing a wide range of general ophthalmic conditions, and in performing cataract surgery.
Collaboration with all of her patients’ healthcare practitioners is important to Dr Haward, ensuring they are looked after using a team approach.
