Dr Katarina Creese is a comprehensive ophthalmologist and cataract surgeon, with special interest and training in medical retina.
Dr Creese attained the Fellowship of The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists in 2019. She attained the Fellowship of the European Board of Ophthalmology (Paris) in 2009. Dr Creese completed her Doctor of Medicine at Charles University in Prague, Czechia in 1998.
Dr Creese completed a further three fellowships in Australia including Medical Retina at The Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital.
Dr Creese is a compassionate specialist who cares deeply about access to quality eye healthcare. She worked for several years with CBM International as an ophthalmologist in Nigeria, Cameroon, Uganda and Rwanda.
In 2022 - 2023 Dr Creese was temporarily based in the Northern Territory helping to extend eye care services to the population of Alice Springs and remote communities of Central Australia. She continues her regular visits to Alice Springs as a locum ophthalmologist.
Dr Creese is currently a visiting medical officer at The Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital and Austin Health. She is actively involved in teaching and supervision of Ophthalmology Registrars and other Junior Medical Staff.
